Three Billy Goats Gruff

For our Traditional Tales topic, we read The Three Billy Goats Gruff story. We liked to pretend to be the troll and use a grumpy voice to say “Who’s trip trapping over my bridge?”

We made our own bridges for the goats to cross.

In Foundation we read Goldilocks and the Three Bears. While we were outside playing, the Bears came into Foudation class and left a bowl of porridge!! We smelt the porridge and then made our own to taste. Some children liked the porridge but Leo told us that it wasn’t as good as his Mum’s porridge! We had to set the table for the Bears to have their breakfast: we used 3 bowls, 3 spoons, 3 chairs and 3 cups.

We also did a class assembly where the children acted out the story and sang a song about Goldilocks. The other primary children loved it!
